A Private Organization not affiliated with Fort Belvoir or the US Army  

The BELVOIR THRIFT SHOP is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) private organization (run by the Belvoir Community Committee) first begun in 1950 and has been in continuous operation on Fort Belvoir for the past 74 years.

We return the money we raise to the community in the form of scholarships and grants.

The Thrift Shop is located in Building 630, 10002 Caples Road on Fort Belvoir. The hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as well as the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10 AM until 2:30 PM

. 

Shopping opportunities are available for anyone who has access to the post. The vast inventory includes everything from collectibles to luggage, baby toys, good quality clothes for all members of the family, sports equipment, and great furniture bargains, as well as antiques.

Donations are gladly accepted.

"To enhance the quality of life for our military members and their families by providing quality, low cost, secondhand merchandise for them to purchase. In addition we provide scholarships to military children and charitable donations to activities and programs that benefit these same families, as agreed upon by a majority of the Community Committee."
