INFORMATION

Belvoir Community Committee/Belvoir Thrift Shop

Scholarship Program 2026


APPLICATIONS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE AT THE END OF JANUARY 2026


This program is for High School Seniors ONLY

Prospective applicants MUST BE CURRENTLY AFFILIATED WITH FORT BELVOIR at the time of application. See item #3. 

Please carefully read the following information.


Eligibility

1. The applicant must be a current graduating high school senior with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 including 7th semester grades.

2. The applicant must be the dependent of an Active Duty, Retired or deceased military member who has an active affiliation with Fort Belvoir. See #3. 

3. The applicant’s parent MUST currently be assigned to, deployed from, living on, or working (either parent) at Fort Belvoir, VA.  

4. Student must have a valid military dependent ID Card.


Not Eligible: 

  1. Students who are recipients of full scholarships - grants or awards that pay 100% tuition, room and board.
  2. Students who will attend Armed Forces Service Academies.
  3. Students who have no current affiliation with Fort Belvoir. (see #3 above) 


*** NOTE: Financial need is NOT one of the criteria for this award.

The  following High School Graduates, Class of 2025, are the recipients of a  $1,500 Academic Achievement Award from the Belvoir Thrift Shop  Scholarship  Program. 


Addison Mau, graduate of West Springfield High School 


Isabelle Morissette, graduate of Battlefield High School


Oliver Wilson, graduate of Hayfield Secondary School


Travis Delk-Reyes, graduate of Hayfield Secondary School 


Galiana Bauman, graduate of Hayfield Secondary School


Hailey D'Andrea, graduate of Robinson Secondary School


Christian Rojas, graduate of Hayfield Secondary School


Sophia Nocerito, graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School


Bryce Willilams, graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School 


The  scholarships recognize and honor the scholastic achievements of these  students as well as recognizing and honoring the contribution that their  military sponsors have made to our country.  


It  is due to the ongoing support of the Fort Belvoir Community that we are  able to sponsor this scholarship program - and we are grateful!!!
